The DMV in South Carolina offers a variety at services at each location. At most locations you can register your vehicle, apply for a driver’s license, get an ID card, and perform a title transfer. Very few SC DMV locations issue CDL licenses, so keep in mind that you may have to travel a bit further out of your target area for this service. Also, most locations are open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays. Though, on Wednesday mornings, all South Carolina DMV locations are closed from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. for staff training, so plan your visit to the DMV accordingly.
