No, the Maryland Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Administration requires commercial drivers to complete their renewal process in person. During your renewal, you will need to submit proper documentation to verify your identity, among other things. You have the option to renew your CDL license up to six months before its expiration date. CDL licenses are usually valid for five years; however, if you are unsure about yours, you can expect to receive a renewal notice in the mail two months before it expires.

No, the Maryland Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Administration requires all beginner drivers to complete a written drivers test in person. Although the test is completed on a computer screen, you must take it at your local MVA office.

Yes, the state of Maryland requires all beginner drivers to complete a drivers ed course. - Letter provided by the U.S. Military Center in St. Louis

In order to renew your medical report, you will need to visit your physician and have them complete a Medical Examiner s Certificate that certifies you meet all federal qualifications. Your physician s signature must be on the report in order for it to be deemed valid. This certificate will be valid for up to two years, depending on the expiration date your physician decides on.

- How do I renew my motorcycle license?

If you are under the age of 40, you have the option to renew motorcycle licenses online, at an MVA Self-Serve Kiosk or by mail. Those eligible to renew by mail will receive a ârenew by mailâ notice prior to the expiration date of their license.
Keep in mind that you will be unable to renew in any of the aforementioned methods if your Social Security Number cannot be checked, you have a conviction on your record, you have a license suspension, you have a tax compliance flag or if you re a CDL driver.
