You are eligible to apply for drivers license renewal anytime prior to your current Ohio drivers license expiration date or up to six months after your driver s license is expired. If you choose to renew your drivers license more than 90 days before it expires, your renewed OH drivers license will be valid for three years instead of the usual four. The OH BMV highly recommends applying for renewal of your OH driver s license no later than six months after your license expires. If your OH drivers license surpasses the six-month expiration period, you will no longer be allowed to renew your drivers license and you will subjected to applying for an OH temporary permit.

Their hours of operation are Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. and Saturdays 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
