Idaho residents who refuse to take a chemical Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) test during a traffic stop will automatically receive a suspended driving license and have their license seized by the arresting officer. Officers may then issue a temporary driving permit for seven days, during which you must request a court hearing. If the court upholds the officer s claims, your drivers license suspension will remain in effect for one year for a first offense and two years for any subsequent offenses.
