- The Missouri DOR uses a point system to assess traffic violations and their effect on your driving record. Missouri commercial drivers are subject to having commercial driving privileges suspended or revoked if a traffic ticket is issued while driving with a regular driver’s license, and vice versa.
If the standard driving license is suspended, the commercial driver may not engage in commercial driving until his or her regular license is reinstated. For less serious violations, a commercial driver may have his or her commercial driving privileges disqualified while still maintaining regular driving privileges.
