- If your car title is damaged or mutilated, then you should replace it as soon as possible. You must turn in your damaged car titlewhen you apply for a duplicate title. You must also fill out an Application for Missouri Title and License and indicate what happened to your title. This form must be notarized. The fee for a duplicate car title is $11. Fees are subject to change.

- How can I transfer a car title if I have a lien on it?
- If there is a lien on your car title, you must obtain the vehicle title from the lien holder and submit it along with your application for an MO car title transfer. The new title will be mailed to the lien holder and will remain in his or her possession until the lien is paid off.
If the lien on your car title has been cleared, you need to submit a notarized Lien Release Form.

- How do I file a police report if my car title was stolen?
- If your car title was stolen, then you may report the incident to law enforcement in your area. Call or visit your local police station to file a police report. You will also have to report your stolen car title to the Missouri Department of Revenue. They may be able to flag your title so that you are protected in case anyone tries to use your car title for fraudulent purposes. - If your Missouri car title is missing or has been lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed, then you may apply for a duplicate car title. To apply for a duplicate title, submit the following documents to a Missouri Department of Revenue Licensing Office:

- How do I obtain a salvaged car title?
- After you have received a Salvage Certificate of Title from the purchase of a salvage vehicle, then you must have the vehicle looked at by an authorized law enforcement official after the vehicle has been rebuilt.
To get salvaged car titles in Missouri, vehicle owners must meet the following title requirements:
- Write out a Bill of Sale
- Complete Application for Missouri Title and License
- Get a vehicle examination certificate
You can apply for a salvage title in person at a DOR office on by mail.

- How do I transfer my car title between states?
- New Missouri residents have 30 days to transfer out of state car title documentation to a Missouri title. To transfer car titles between states, you must provide:
- The out-of-state pink slip from previous state or country
- Completed and signed Application for Missouri Title and License
- Proof of Insurance
- Statement of non-assessment from local county tax office
- Valid emissions and/or safety inspection, if applicable
- Odometer reading

- The Missouri DOR does not designate a different process to title an RV than to title a car. The seller must help the buyer provided the following items to transfer RV titles:

- How long does it take to receive my replacement car title after ordering online?
- You may not order a Missouri car title replacement online. You must either apply in person or by mail to receive a replacement. It usually takes around seven to 10 business days to receive a car title replacement. On the application form, you will provide your mailing address where you would like the title sent. If you have not received your duplicate title two weeks after having applied, then you may contact the DOR via their online inquiry form.

- If a family member dies and leaves his or her car to me, how do I switch over the title?
- In Missouri, a car owner may designate a Transfer on Death (TOD) beneficiary on their title application. So in the event of his or her death, the car title may be transferred to the designee s name. - In Missouri, you are not required to title your moped. You must, however, be a licensed driver to operate a moped.
