- How many points can I get on my driving record before my driver’s license is suspended?

When accumulating 12 points, a Delaware driving course will need to be administered and completed within 90 days of the DMV notice. If the course is not completed a mandatory two-month driving suspension will be given.
When accumulating 14 points, a mandatory license suspension will be administered for four months. Additional points will result in longer suspension period. After suspension, a driver may become eligible for license reinstatement if completing a Delaware behavioral modification/attitudinal-driving course.
