- Do I need to file a police report if my license was lost or stolen?
- For your lost or stolen drivers license, you do not need to file a police report. However, if you want to take extra precautions to protect your identity and your personal information from fraudulent activity, then you may disclose the incident to the Missouri Department of Revenue. The DOR may flag your record until you can obtain your duplicate license. If you still want to file a police report, then feel free to do so.

- There are a few different ways in which to obtain a copy of the Missouri driver manual. The Missouri Department of Revenue Driver Guide is available online at the Missouri Department of Revenue website. There is an audio version available as well. The driver manual is available in Spanish as well as Bosnian. The El Manual del Conductor de Missouri is available online. - To renew drivers licenses in Missouri, you may have to provide proof of name, date of birth, place of birth, Social Security Number and Missouri residential address. You must apply in person at a Missouri Department of Revenue licensing office. Current proof of your residential address is required each time you renew your drivers license. Acceptable proof includes a recent utility bill, paycheck or voter registration card. You are also required to take the vision and road signs test at each Missouridrivers license renewal.

- Anyone who plans to operate a motor vehicle on public roadways in Missouri must apply for a driver s license. Drivers 18 and older are eligible to apply for either a for a Class F or Class E driver s license. The Class F license does not allow you to drive for hire. To apply for driverslicense you must:

- How do I get a hardship license?
- The state of Missouri has a Limited Driving Privilege (LDP) program that is also known as a hardship license. Hardship licenses allow drivers to use their cars for important tasks that have been pre-approved, such as getting to and from work.
You may not be eligible for the LDP in certain cases. For example, if you were convicted of a felony involving a motor vehicle. To apply you must:
- Submit an Application for Limited Driving Privilege
- File a petition with your local county circuit court
You will be responsible for the associated court costs and legal fees when obtaining your hardship license.

- How do I get a replacement license if I am in the military and stationed elsewhere?
- To receive a drivers license replacement if you are in the military and stationed out of Missouri, you may apply by mail. Active duty military personal and their dependents must fill out a Mail-in Driver License Application. On the application, indicate your out-of-state or out-of-country mailing address. Your replacement driverslicense will be mailed to that address. Include with the application the following:
- Photocopy of military ID card
- Copy of U.S. Passport or birth certificate
- Social Security Number
- Proof of Missouri Residential Address, for example, a voter registration card

- How do I know if my license was mailed after it has been restored?
- Once you have met all the requirements of your suspension, you can reinstate your suspended driving license. If you have not received your reinstated drivers license, contact the MO DOR for details on the delivery status of your driving license. You can call the Missouri Department of Revenue, Motor Vehicle and Driver License Bureau at 573-751-4600 or make an in-person visit to your local MO DOR.

- How do I reinstate after a revocation as a Habitual Traffic Offender?
- The state of Missouri does not have a Habitual Traffic Offender law. Missouri does however, participate in a point system which monitors traffic violations. The number of points accumulated over a certain period of time can result in having your driver s license suspended. If you accumulate eight or more points in 18 months, your first driver s license suspension will be for 30 days. Your driver s license will be suspended if you accumulate 12 or more points in a 12 month period. You can reinstate revoked drivers license by following what is outlined in your case in the notice of suspension letter.

- To reinstate suspended drivers license, you must follow the steps to identify your violations, file the necessary paperwork, and pay the associated fees. The reason why your driver s license was suspended will be sent to you in a notice of suspension letter from the Missouri Department of Revenue, Driver License Bureau. The letter will state for what and for how long your license will be suspended. It will also have information regarding the documentation you must submit, such as proof of substance abuse treatment in the case of a drug- or alcohol-related offense. You must also figure out what fees you have to pay to reinstate your license.

- You may qualify to renew drivers licenses if you are an active-duty military member or dependent stationed out of state. All other residents must appear inperson at a Missouri DOR licensing office to renew driver licenses. - To replace drivers licenses, non-U.S. citizens and U.S. citizens alike must present a photo ID at the DOR. Examples of a photo ID if you are a non-U.S. citizen include:
- Permanent Resident ID card

If you do not have a photo ID, then other forms of ID may be acceptable. You may present a Social Security card, a document that shows name and date of birth, or a document that shows your name and your signature.

- How do I replace my license if I lost it out of state?
- If you have a lost drivers license and you are located out of state, then you will need to apply for a replacement license upon your return to the state. Non-military residents are not permitted to apply for a replacement license, remotely. Active duty servicemen and their dependents may be eligible to apply for a duplicate license using the Mail-in Driver License Application. Along with the application, include:

- How does the DMV check my vision?
- When you apply for a new drivers license or a drivers license renewal, the Missouri DMV will test your vision. The vision screening will consist of an acuity and peripheral vision test. Your visual acuity must be at least 20/40 in either or both eyes. Your peripheral vision must be at least 55 degrees in each eye or 85 degrees in one eye. If you happen to fail the vision screening, then you will receive a form to be completed by an eye care professional or physician that shows how your vision has been corrected and is fit for driving.

- How long will I have a suspended license for not taking a chemical test?
- Refusing to submit to an alcohol or drug test is known as a Chemical Revocation in Missouri. Your driver’s license will be suspended for one year for a Chemical Revocation. Along with a suspended drivers license, you will also be subject to the following consequences for refusing a chemical test:
- $45 reinstatement fee
- Maintaining proof of auto insurance on file with the DOR for two years
- Completing a substance abuse traffic program
